On Sunday, it was church, lunch, work, and home. So I thought. Luckily I got off work at 7pm instead of 9pm and had 1 hour until the mall was closing. My DH came to pick me up and I asked if we could go to Victoria Secret and he said YES!! We walked over there and tried to find some cute and comfortable stuff I could wear. As you all know, prego means getting bigger and that is what's happening to me. So I found some cute stuff and was able to pay with a gift card and a $10 off coupon. It was great!! Then we came home and ate dinner. I thought my DH would want to just eat and go to bed since he has to be gone by 4:30am. Instead, he says, "Babe, do you want to watch 'The Break Up' before we go to bed?" Of course my answer was... YES!! I love movies and will watch them when ever I can. He normally likes to watch Sports Center, so this was a surprise to me! We eat our enchiladas and head up to our room. We were able to cuddle and watch the whole movie! Then it was about 11pm... I thought, wow, we did a lot today and even had time to spend together. It is really nice when you don't feel rushed and have time to just sit back and think about all the great things God has blessed us with. This morning we found a 2nd Bible that PJ could take with him and leave in his truck for when he gets to work early. It's as if God is showing us that there is always time for everything we want to do and time to spend with Him as well.
Time brings me joy and happiness with my family.

Choose Joy #4
Today I had a fun trip to the Christmas store with my mother-in-law and my husband... then, it was a rough day. I felt like I was getting sick and tired and I felt like crap. I couldn't fit into anything and I had to find something to wear to my DH's Christmas work party. I got so mad because I couldn't find something I looked "adorable" in due to getting larger... I tried to talk my DH into taking me to the mall and finding something new but he didn't want to spend any money. I was so irritated and just put on 1 out of 2 pairs of jeans I could fit into and a shirt that was flowy. I was uncomfortable but didn't complain and went to the Christmas party. It was nice because his boss happens to be his uncle and his grandma is the payroll lady, so I had someone to talk to besides PJ. Turns out, we won $200 because we each got to pick an envelope from the Christmas tree from the two owners of the company. Even though $100 was the minimum in each envelope, we were both greatful that we had an extra $200 to spend towards Christmas presents. So even though the day was up and down, I realized that I do have it good in life and I need to choose joy no matter what type of day I am having... because it could always be worse. Thank you God for the life you have given us.

Choose Joy #2
My family and of course, my dogs Candy and Jack.
This is a picture of love with my parents. They have a love for each other, for the Bible, for learning new things, and of course, a love and passion for God. They are amazing parents who guide me and lead me in every direction and will always love me no matter what kind of trouble I get in to. They are my joy...
Then there is Jack and Candy... they are always so loving and happy and I find joy in going to see them and spending time with them. When they are not giving me kisses, they are giving each other kisses and it makes me smile...
Almost there... Barely!

Choose Joy
Decorating the Christmas tree at my in-laws. Every year the parents buy an ornament for each of their children because they want them to have ornaments when they are married and have a family. I thought that this was such a wonderful idea and so sweet... I bought PJ an ornament last year because I found one that had to do with ice skating. I took PJ ice skating for the first time and we had so much fun with our friends. This year, we started decorating the tree and we exchanged ornaments. PJ was a little sad because he didn't get an ornament from his parents and instead had to buy one for me. This was obviously a big change for him because he was so used to getting great ornaments and didn't want to be disappointed with mine. He was so nervous when it was time to exchange because I told him I saw one that I really wanted too. I found the joy in these little times that we can spend together because it is something we can not only do with our family but with each other. =) I got him a grinch ornament that is stealing presents from under the tree and he got me one of Lady and the Tramp. They were both sooooo cute and he loved his!!! It was a great time and even though it was just decorating a tree and seeing new ornaments, It filled my heart with joy because I know some people can't have this very moment and God has blessed me with such a wonderful life.

December... thoughts
So today is December 2nd and last night my DH and I were thinking about all the wonderful times we have gone through before our marriage. It was really fun remembering the days in college when we didn't really have to worry about anything... it was just work and school and then hanging out with friends when we could. It's crazy to think about how much could happen in one year... it is almost exciting!! Our favorite thing is doing something new for the first time together... This year we went shopping on Black Friday. I have never done that before and we both woke up at 3:30am thinking, are we really doing this?! As soon as the alarm went off PJ said, "it's so early!" So I replied with, "are you really going to complain right now?" and he confirmed, "no, but I really want to." It was the funniest thing because I wanted to complain too but we both knew it was something we had to do if we wanted to buy a new camera and video camera for our new addition to the family. Shopping at Walmart and Target at 5am was actually ok... we got everything we went there for and then some and no one got hurt... It's things like this that makes me think about how much fun we had together already and how much we have for the upcoming years. I am so happy with my new life and I can't wait to explore new things with my best friend!
